MARTHIN LUTHER KING by Miriam

Martin Luther King was born on the 15th of January ,1929, in a baptist minister family in Atlanta City. He studied in the Atlanta University and in Boston. He married Coretta Scott. He was a prominent leader of the civil rights for the African American people . His way of working for liberty was "without violence and without hatred". He was the organizer of the protest against the bus company in Montgomery. It was on the 5th of December , 1955.

He was a famous emperor of the Roman Empire. He was born in Rome in 63 b.C. He was the son of Cayo Octavio Turino. When he was a child, Julius Caesar was adopted. He conquered Alexandria and other cities and empires. One of his most important assistants was Marcus Aurelius. He was the first emperor of the Roman people and the most important. He died in 14 a.d. in Rome.

He was born in India in 1869.
He was a lawyer.
He is famous because he achieved the independence of India without violence.
He tried to reform Indian society by integrating the lower castes and fostering rural development.
He disapproved the religious conflicts that followed indian independence and defended muslim hindu territory.
He was a vegetarian.
He lived a simple life.
He had a woman who loved. She was called Kasturba.
He died on the 30th of January, 1948 in India.

Salvador Dalí by Patricia

He was a famous painter.

He was born in Figueras on the 11th of May, 1904.

He died in Figueras on the 23rd of January, 1989.

When he was a child, his older brother died from gastrointeritis . Dalí also had a sister, Ana Maria, three years younger than him. In 1949,she published a book about his brother, entitled "Dalí as seen by his sister". In his childhood, Dalí befriended future players of F.C. Barcelona, Josep Samitier and Emilio Sagi Liñan.

He is famous because he is considered one of the most important representatives of surrealism.

-Landscape near Figueras(1910).

-Vilabertin (1913).

-Party in Figueras(1916).

He was a famous inventor. He was born in Mila (Ohio) on the 11th of February, 1847 and was an inventor and a businessman in United States. At ten years old he already had a chemistry laboratory. At thirteen years old he moved to Toronto ,where he found a job as a telegraphist. He is a famous person because he invented the light bulb in 1897. In the past the light bulb was different from the ones today. He died on the 8th of October,1931 in New Jersey.

He was an emperor. He was born in Egypt in 1372 b.C. When he was a child he was not happy.He is famous because he was the emperor of Egypt. The young king was the son of Amenophis III .Tutankamon reigned for 10 years. His real name was Tutankaton. In 1361 b.C. he became the eleventh king of his dinasty. When he was nine years old he married the princess Ankhes-en-pa-Amon.
He died in 1353 in Luxor.

MY TRIP TO THE SNOW by Clara

Hi! I'm Clara and last Saturday I went on a trip to Lluc to see the snow. The path was called "Es camí de ses voltes d'en Galileu", and there was a lot of snow. It was great.
